Completed a one year course-work on Health Professions Education & got the GDHP Ed from School of Medical Education, University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia in 1998 (WHO scholarship). The course included the topics, which were mainly directed to problem-based learning methods, improvement of teaching skills, instructional design and assessment systems. M Phil in Pharmacology 1993

Completed M Phil in Pharmacology in 1993 from former Institute of Postgraduate Medicine and Research (IPGM&R) (Now Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University) under University of Dhaka, Bangladesh. The course mainly comprised of Basic, Experimental & Clinical Pharmacology with research work. The additional subjects studied in the course were Biochemistry & Biostatistics. Stood first in all three parts of the course in the then IPGM&R in that session in 1991-1993.

Worked as Lecturer of Pharmacology in School of Health Sciences, University Science Malaysia from Dec 2003 to November 2006. Also was course-coordinator of Basic & Advance Pharmacology course. Took Lectures, Practicals ,Tutorials & also Examiner. Developed instructional design for Basic Pharmacology course in School of Health Sciences, USM.

Total Experience in Teaching of Pharmacology

More than 30 years in different medical colleges in Bangladesh & University Science Malaysia, Malaysia from Feb 1988 till present. After graduation (MBBS) in 1984, worked as in-service trainee in Chittagong Medical college Hospital for 1 year and in rural health complex (Kawkhali UZ Health Complex, Rangamati) as medical officer for over 2 years. The rest of the career is in teaching Pharmacology & attachment to related courses of Pharmacology.

The courses include MBBS, BDS, B Sc in Nursing, Nursing Post-Basic, B Sc in Allied Health Professionals (Physiotherapy, Lab Tech, Radiology, Speech & Lang Therapy, Occupational Therapy etc,). There are 56 Medical Colleges (G: 15; NG: 41); 22 Dental Colleges and Units; 23 Nursing Colleges and Units; 21 Post Basic Nursing Institutes; about 20 other Institutes for Allied Health Professional Institutes under University of Dhaka.
